From the Ignis Triptych

“Ignis III” is the final and most stripped-back piece of the Ignis triptych. A heart-shaped echo of its siblings, yet drained of their spectral color, it reveals what was always there but unseen: a skull woven into the thicket. In Ignis I, this form was hidden — camouflaged by blooming chroma, layered perception, and the seduction of multiplicity. Here, it’s exposed by omission.

This work is not about what’s added, but what’s withheld. A meditation on the limitations of perspective — how clarity often arrives not by gathering more, but by subtracting. When noise falls away, truth emerges. Stark, skeletal, and unblinking.

The golden glow remains, but the fire has cooled. What’s left is the architecture of all things living and dying — a scaffold of memory, loss, and the brutal simplicity of seeing without illusion.

It is the final breath of the triptych.
