From the Ignis Triptych
The brightest flame is also the most naive.
Suspended in cerulean fire and gilded light, Ignis II offers the clearest — and most idealised — vision of the triptych. Where Ignis I fractured reality into multiple, competing perspectives, and Ignis III exposed the bare truth beneath the image, this central work gives us something else entirely: a luminous fiction. The world as we wish it to be. Clean, vibrant, and whole.
Here, complexity is bleached away by clarity. The branching forms are simplified, the hidden skull masked beneath pure ultramarine, like a dream that refuses to acknowledge its own shadow. It’s a version of hope that hasn't yet been tested — radiant, naïve, and utterly magnetic.
Ignis II does not lie, but it omits. It speaks to the power of beauty to console, of brightness to blind. The perspective it presents is seductive in its simplicity — a clarity that feels almost divine, because it refuses to contend with fracture.
This is the myth before the revelation.
